For approximately three decades, Jim has been involved in not only investing in the capital markets but also advising individuals, fiduciaries and other professionals. Jim began his career in 1991 as a municipal bond analyst at Paine Webber in both New York and in Los Angeles working with the trading desks and advising retail brokers in the system. In 1996, he moved on to join Personal Business Management Group Ltd. (PBMG) based in Connecticut where he performed securities analysis, portfolio management and developed client relationships. After several years, Jim became President of the firm and a principle. Seeking better resources to enhance client service, Jim joined up with ACM in 2019.
Although Jim has acquired vast experience investing money as both an analyst and portfolio manager, his greatest knowledge has come from working with clients and addressing their needs that go beyond investments. Jim has gained broad experience in areas ranging from real estate partnerships to running a small business. He has formed long-term relationships that have extended to subsequent generations. He is familiar with dealing as an intermediary between clients and other professionals and is happy to coordinate, estate/trust and tax matters for clients.
Jim lives in Stamford CT with his wife Melissa, a college-aged daughter, a high school senior son and a dog. He enjoys collecting and occasionally racing cars, being on the ocean boating and fishing and a variety of sports.
Jim earned a B.S. in Business and Economics from Lehigh University in 1991 and an MBA from Columbia University in 1998. In the past, Jim has passed the series 7 and 63 licensing exams and currently holds a series 65 registration.
