Robert Olsen is a Senior Wealth Advisor with 16 years of experience serving the needs of his clients. He started his career with the leading office in Signator’s John Hancock Financial Network, and served as advisor to the premier team for clients for many successive years with the support and wisdom of his mentors at Pettinelli Financial Partners. A graduate of Loyola University New Orleans with a Bachelor of Business Administration; Robert is also a proud alumnus of St. Ignatius College Preparatory in San Francisco.

In 2013, Robert fought through a rare cancer diagnosis, enduring procedures for two years, including back-to-back stem cell transplants. Now with a focused perspective and cancer-free life, his aim is to advocate for his clients’ piece of mind through the thoughtful use of financial planning concepts and valuable advice. His unique experience adds insight into planning for clients, their children, and loved ones as they remain at the forefront of his focus when collaborating on best next steps. He is continually sought out by friends, businesses, and his community for guidance, serving as a financial resource to people seeking better planning.

Robert values professional development and attained his Accredited Investment Fiduciary Designation®, AIF®, certifying his role as an advisor that serves as an investment fiduciary. Robert currently holds the Series 65 securities license, a Certified in Long Term Care credential, and the Life and Health Insurance licenses for multiple states, including California. In addition to all he has accomplished, he is working to attain his Behavioral Financial Advisor™ (BFA) accreditation this year.

Outside of the office, Robert resides with his family in San Mateo, and finds the time and personal inspiration to support the Be The Match Foundation®, the Stanford University Cancer Center, and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. “After the health issues I’ve overcome, I’m happy to be here and live each day to the fullest,” says Robert.
