(September 23, 2016 Ridgewood, NJ) – Over the past 32 years, Advisors Capital Management’s (ACM) co-founder and Chief Investment Officer Charles Lieberman has been invited to numerous Federal Reserve conferences including the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City’s Annual Economic Symposium in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. This year he will attend The Federal Reserve Bank of Boston’s conference October 14th and 15th. The invitations began when Lieberman’s career brought him to the New York Federal Reserve in 1979 as head of its Monetary Analysis staff. At that time, Paul Volcker was Fed Chairman and the country was battling high inflation, skyrocketing energy costs and tensions in the Middle East.
After years in banking and on Wall Street, Lieberman became the co-founder of his own private money management firm located in Ridgewood, NJ and will still except an occasional invitation to these exclusive conferences. “I attend for the opportunity to discuss the economic outlook and to better understand the thinking of policymakers” said Lieberman. “In the end any insight gained can help our clients.”
This year’s conference topic is The Elusive “Great” recovery: Causes and Implications for Future Business Cycles Dynamics. Speakers include Janet Yellen; Chair, Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve, Eric Rosengren; President of the Boston Federal Reserve Bank, (formerly of Ridgewood NJ) and Olivier Blanchard; former Chief Economist of the IMF to name a few.
